Fairway woods are surprisingly a very looked over club throughout the bag. A lot of people don’t look at it as a very necessary club. In my opinion, it comes in handy more than people think. A lot of people are thought to believe that they are only used for hitting into par 5’s trying to get onto the green in 2 strokes, but I have found great success with it when my driver isn’t working very well. I categorize fairway woods into 3 categories; Low-spinning, High-spinning, and Hybrids. Hybrids are like a combination of a fairway wood and a long iron, and are much easier to hit than fairway woods while still giving similar distance. Here are some of my favourites from each category.
